Profile
The canon of subjects is extended by two hours per week from year 8 to 10 with the school-specific profile.
The Joliot-Curie-Gymnasium offers the following school-specific profiles:
- Sports profile
- modular profile
The sports profile is divided into three separate courses:
- Handball
- volleyball
- Athletics
In each course, students in grades 8 - 10 train together in one sport. Practical and theoretical sports content is taught. This profile represents a deepening and supplementation of physical education. Registration and selection criteria for the sports profile are ability, aptitude and club membership.
The modular profile offers pupils an insight into two subject areas each year. The current structure of the modular profile is as follows:

In the modules, students deepen and supplement curriculum-relevant content from the subjects GRW, history, ethics/religion, biology, geography, chemistry and English.
