Successful start to the 2025/26 academic year - Saxony honors 23 STEM schools - We are there!

The Joliot-Curie-Gymnasium has successfully started the new school year 2025/2026! We are pleased to announce that on September 2, 2025, our school was one of 23 schools in Saxony to receive certification as a STEM-friendly school for the first time. This award recognizes our commitment in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology, as well as our continuous efforts to provide a future-oriented and digital education for our students.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Franze (Prorector of Teaching and Studies at HTW Dresden) emphasized that "Technical solutions, as developed by STEM-enthusiastic young people, are the key to mastering the challenges of the future. We are delighted when committed schools inspire their students to follow this path and thus lay the foundation for the problem-solving of tomorrow."

We would like to thank our entire staff, especially our Head of Science Mr. Lorenz, as well as the pupils for their commitment to science. Together, we will continue to break new ground in STEM education in the future and open up exciting prospects for our pupils.
