Flight of stairs
The ultimate sporting event at the Joliot-Curie-Gymnasium is the stair run!
This sporting event takes place once a year and has been firmly anchored in the school's sports schedule since 2009.
Originally, the "stair run" was intended as a form of training, but since the 1970s it has also been practiced on a large scale as a competition. The stair run in the Empire State Building is famous (1576 steps in 9:33 min). In comparison, the number of steps from our basement to the attic is rather modest (best time: 130 steps in 35.39 seconds).
But peppered with three long corridors and the crossing of the hallway, the whole thing is not exactly an easy run. This is confirmed by everyone who reaches the finish line.
Spectators, scenery and flair give the whole thing an added attraction. Once you've been infected, you'll keep coming back!
